The technique

SWiM complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Developed in the Netherlands, SWiM ensures that your confidential and personal data will not be stored on servers outside Europe.

Data can be accessed everywhere in a way that prevents it from being left behind on devices. Tracking and tracing capabilities make audits easy, and also provide full accountability of data streams. Double-ratchet encryption (end-to-end encryption for instant messaging) makes any intercepted data unusable, even in the unlikely event that user keys are also compromised. Through a multi-server structure – distributed across various providers – backup systems are always ready to assume process control, if required. That means your data is available at all times.

SWiM is based on proprietary technology developed within the EU, and conforms to all relevant EU guidelines. The SWiM network is regularly audited and subjected to PEN testing (an authorized, simulated cyber-attack) to evaluate its robustness.
